Green Office Wageningen
The Green Office works towards a more sustainable mind-set and practice at the Wageningen UR – we bring the change from inside, by involving students and employees in sustainability.
In 2011 the Taskforce Sustainability was established to empower changes for sustainability. One of the goals was to set up a structure that would stimulate and coordinate efforts between research, education and campus operations. A group of students – in consultation with the Taskforce Sustainability – developed the proposal for a Green Office to realise this ambition. Green Office Wageningen was subsequently established in 2012 as the 2nd Green Office.
As the graph below shows, the team consits of 4 student employees (paid 4 hours per week) and 1 staff coordinator (16 hours per week). The Green Office works with volunteers ad-hoc.
